University Transplant Center is a partnership between University Health System and the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. We have been leaders in the field of solid organ transplantation for over 25 years. We learn from every transplant we perform, and carefully study advancements in organ transplantation as we care for our patients. Our focus – restoring people to a better quality of life – proves its value as our patients survive and thrive with their new organs. Our research enriches medicine – our patients enrich their communities.
Our inpatient units are located in University Hospital, and we follow patients in outpatient clinics throughout South Texas. In addition to transplantation, we offer many other consultation and disease management services. We have a robust research program, as well as an extensive biorepository.
